The Boyle County school system offers an attractive, rural setting for its 2,717 students. Boyle County Schools, in partnership with the community, will educate all students to be responsible, lifelong learners. Through historic cities of Perryville, Junction City and Danville and through instititutions of higher learning in Centre College and Eastern Kentucky University, students are afforded opportunities to further expand cultural opportunities and educators are provided with an ongoing source of instructional enrichment.
Academic Excellence
In 2006 & 2007 Boyle County had the highest scores in the Central Kentucky Education Cooperative (CKEC). This cooperative is known for having the highest performing districts in the state. Furthermore, Boyle County is now one of the top 25 school districts across the state. Boyle County has established itself as a district with high expectations and a devotion to the success of all students. This is not the work of any one person or initiative. This accomplishment is the result of hard work and determination by teachers, staff, parents, the community and, most of all, the students! Boyle County's overall academic index was 88.3 This is a gain of 3.6 points from 2006 when the index was 84.7.
