Dear Strategic Plan Team,
On behalf of Strong Instructional Leadership, we would like to thank you for the opportunity to develop action steps to be certain that “100% of our students have the education needed to succeed.” Our strategies are to Actively recruit and retain only highly qualified and properly certified teachers and staff and Develop and implement a program to identify and develop leaders in the school community.
Our team met numerous times and organized in sub-teams to focus on specific areas of interest. As we worked through the process we focused on each strategy, keeping in mind our initial thoughts of common sense, buy-in, and what would give us immediate and long lasting action steps to ensure the strategy’s success.
You will find extremely important steps that will lead to our objective being successful.

1. Entice highly qualified, certified teachers to apply for jobs in our school district
2. Encourage good teachers to continue working for our school district
Strategy: Develop and implement a program to identify and develop leaders in the school community.
Specific Results:
1. Create adult-student mentoring programs throughout the District based upon partnerships with business/community entities.
2. Establish community speaker programs throughout the District based upon partnerships with business/community entities.
3. Establish community reading programs throughout the District based upon partnerships with business/community entities.
4. Establish a student showcase of achievement, including student speakers and guides for Freshman Orientation at Boyle County High School and for other, school-specific orientation events. |
